So you've just bought your first builder gel but you don't know where to start? Don't worry, babe, we've got you covered!
HOW DO I APPLY BUILDER GEL?

Right babe let's keep it clean! Sanitise your hands and equipment before you begin prep.

Follow a dry prep manicure to include filing of the free edge to a desired shape and length. Push back the cuticles using a cuticle pusher to ensure an even application around the cuticle area.

Now pick a side to buff the natural nail plate using the 2AM 220/280 Buffer to form and etch into the natural nails, allowing the product to adhere. We don't want those gels going anywhere!

Cleanse/wipe over the nails with a lint free wipe to remove any dust or debris.

2AM Build It Baby Builder Gel doesn't require a base coat but if the natural nail is thin and flexible or you struggle with peeling or lifting, go in with Main Link Powerbond Primer and/or First Base Basecoat.

Apply a thin first coat of builder gel covering the surface of the nail and capping the free edge at the end. Leave to self-level then cure for 60 seconds.

One nail at a time, apply a second thin layer of builder gel then create a bead of builder on top of the wet gel and offload in the apex area.
Zigzag the brush down to the free edge and leave to self-level. Flash cure for 10 seconds.

Repeat step 7 across the hand, flash curing each time then cure for a final 60 seconds.

Select your 2AM shade and apply two coats, ensuring you cap the free edge and cure each layer in between. Finish with 2AM Get On Top Topcoat and cure for 60 seconds.
HOW DO I REMOVE BUILDER GEL?

Right babe let's dull it down. Use a 180-grit nail file to etch the shiny topcoat.

Soak foil wraps with 2AM Gel Remover or 100% Acetone and wrap around nail plates. Leave for 10-20 minutes.

Remove wraps from nails and gently push away loose product with a cuticle pusher or orange stick. Take off any excess product with a 180-grit nail file.

Once the product is removed, apply cuticle oil and hand cream to hydrate the nails.
